What is The Retirement Plans College?

The retirement plans college is a live and on-line education program. The courses focus on IRAs and IRA based employer plans. Other courses for other retirement plans include Solo 401(k) plans, Health Savings Accounts and Coverdell Education Savings Accounts.

Who are the instructors, and what are their qualifications?

The main instructor and creator of the IRA College is John Paul Ruiz QKA CISP. Ruiz has earned his Qualified 401(k) Administrator designation (QKA) through the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries as well as the Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP) certification through the American Bankers Association.

Certification and Accreditation

Are the courses accredited?

The courses offered are available for CE credits for the following certifications through the American Bankers Association - Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP), Certified Trust Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and the Certified Retirement Services Professional (CRSP). It  is also in the process of getting approved for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

What certifications can I earn through your programs?

The IRA College is a preparatory course for the Certified IRA Services Professional certification exam.  The exam is offered and administered by the American Bankers Association. 

How do I verify the legitimacy of your certifications?

Will my certification be recognized by employers or regulators?

Yes, the Certified IRA Services Professional designation is a recognized certification in the financial services industry

IRS and Legal Compliance

How often do your courses update to reflect changes in tax laws?

Courses are updated annually for any legislative and regulatory updates.

Does the IRA College offer training on IRS audits or legal challenges?

Currently the IRA College does not offer training on IRS Audits or legal challenges. The courses however, have been used to train on how to avoid audits and legal challenges. 

What happens if I need help with compliance after completing a course?

Do you offer tailored courses for businesses or organizations?

Customized training can be delivered for organizations both live on-site and streaming. An on-line training bundle could also be customized for organizations based on their needs. 

How can employers benefit from enrolling their teams in your programs?

Organizations have used the training sessions to on board new associates, as well a provide on-going training for their current associates. The courses have also been used as a measuring tool for career opportunities for associates within the organization.

What is your refund policy if I cannot complete a course?

At The Retirement Plans College, all course purchases are non-refundable. Once you have enrolled and gained access to the course materials, refunds will not be issued. We encourage you to review course details carefully before enrolling.

Are the course materials downloadable?

No, course materials are not downloadable. To ensure the integrity and security of our content, all materials, including videos and resources, can only be accessed through our online platform.

How do I access my course after registering?

After completing your enrollment and payment, you will receive a confirmation email with your login credentials and detailed instructions. Simply log in to the platform, and you’ll have immediate access to your course.

Continuing Education and Professional Development

Do you offer continuing education credits (CEUs)?

The courses offered are available for CE credits for the following certifications through the American Bankers Association - Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP), Certified Trust Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and the Certified Retirement Services Professional (CRSP). It  is also in the process of getting approved for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Can I retake courses for updates or refreshers?

Courses are often retaken as a refresher. The IRA College on-demand was developed to make the courses available 24-7.

What should I do if I lose access to my course?

Can I transfer my enrollment to someone else?

No, course enrollments are non-transferable. Once you are registered for a course, access is assigned solely to you and cannot be shared or transferred to another individual.

Events and Webinars

Does the IRA College host any events or webinars?

Currently the IRA College is only offered as an on-line course.  All live sessions are offered to financial institutions for their associates.
